He becomes the third FC Barcelona player to win the award
Pedro Rodríguez Ledesma, the FC Barcelona player, was the winner of the GOL T Trophy for January, having scored a total of 6 goals in the BBVA League over the month. He became the third FC Barcelona player to win the award after Messi and Keita, and only the second Spanish player to win the award after David Villa, top-scorer back in September 2009 for Valencia.
Manel Lozano presented the award to the player from the Canary Islands at the Joan Gamper Training Complex, at the end of training last week. Pedro expressed his gratitude and the support of the channel.
The FC Barcelona forward won the tenth award of the 2010-2011 season beating out: Cristiano Ronaldo with 5 goals and Luis Fabiano and Negredo, with 4 goals apiece. The Barça player scored his 6 goals over matchdays 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 in the BBVA League, scoring twice against Levante and once each against Deportivo, Malaga, Racing and Hercules respectively.
Following on from Villa, Keita, Agüero, Higuaín, Tchité, Messi and Nilmar, all winners this season, Pedro becomes the third FC Barcelona player to pick up the trophy after Messi and Keita, and only the second Spanish player to win it. With the presentation of the award, GOL TELEVISIÓN sets out to highlight the effectiveness of the players who with their goals give the channel its name.
